In June, we asked readers where to donate household items in the Lowcountry. Today we highlight 7 local donation points that you suggested. Give food, Clothing, furniture and more through these organizations and help make a difference in the community.

🦴Pet Assistant Adoption Center: Pet Helpers in Charleston promotes animal welfare, facilitates pet adoptions, and provides spaying and neutering services. You can drop dog and cat food at the center of 11 am-6pm daily in the blue bin in the hall. Royal Canin is Pet Helpers’ most searched for food brand. Thanks Pamela B. for the suggestion.

🍝East Cooper Community Awareness: This Mount. Pleasant The organization helps community members overcome life’s challenges. Browse the organization’s donation wish list – including Laundry, pasta sauce + dishwasher soap. Drop the items at 1145 Six Miles Road Monday-Friday, 10 am-4pm Thanks Molly L. for the suggestion.

👟My sister’s house: This tri-county women’s advocacy center works at end the cycle of domestic violence. The center has 24 hours donation drop boxes across the Lowcountry – contributions accepted include Clothing, blankets, and shoes. Thanks Pamela B. for the suggestion.

🛋️Hope to Home Meubles Ressource: Hope at home in IOP provides free furniture at displaced persons and people leaving homelessness. The organization collects items such as dressers, sofas, and pots + pans. If you would like to donate, send an email. Pickups are normally scheduled for Saturday morning. 🍼Charleston Junior League: This women’s organization works to improve the community through volunteering. the JLC Diaper Bank distributed over 160,000 diapers to local families. Deposit unused, disposable diapers and pull-ups Monday-Friday, 8 am-4pm at 51 Folly Road Thanks Sarah N. for the suggestion.

👕Awareness of the Our Lady of Mercy community: OLM works to promote self-sufficiency and self-esteem among community members. This Charleston nonprofit accepts clothing + non-perishable food such as savory, Peanut Butter, and canned pasta. Bring your donations to Johns Island location Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or downtown location Monday-Friday, 8 am-4pm Thanks Claire R. for the suggestion.

🧴Florence Critenton SC Programs: Florence Crittenton strives to provide hope, security and opportunity to young women in SC. The group accepts articles of which reusable water bottles, laundry baskets, and ethnic hair care some products. Consult the complete wish list.
