A new limited-time event called Containment is coming to Rainbow Six Siege tomorrow, running for three weeks (through August 24) across all platforms.

It’s inspired by the upcoming Rainbow Six Extraction co-op game, which Ubisoft recently postponed to early 2022. Players will find a reworked version of the Consulate map canceled by the Chimera Parasite.

This event offers a glimpse into the world of Extraction in Rainbow Six Siege, where a team of REACT agents (attackers) will step in to destroy the Nests and take on a team of Proteans, a deadly Archæan variant that can take on Operator form. REACT (defenders) and try to emulate their behavior with maximum speed and with melee attacks only. Defenders will receive additional special health, punching abilities from Aruni and Oryx, but will be unarmed throughout the game. Attackers will have a standard loadout with no modifiers and will only have access to a reduced selection. operators.

Containment will introduce a new game mode, Nest Destruction, which will allow players to fight for a nest. On the one hand, attackers will be offered a two-level objective scenario: destroy the nest to open the final objective and win the round. On the other hand, to be the winners, the defenders will need to rely on melee attacks and Oryx’s Ramah Dash to stop their opponents. Of course, there is always one last solution to secure victory – players can rely on the old but effective method: getting rid of the opposing team altogether.

The Containment event features its own collection of 33 unique items for Rainbow Six Siege operators, including IQ, Ace, Blackbeard, Amaru and Zero on the attacking side, and Aruni, Jager, Kaid, Mira and Warden on the defending team. . The collection includes headgear, uniforms and weapon skins. Each Operator’s exclusive and time-limited customization items are available for purchase as bundles in the Shop section for 1,680 R6 Credits or through Containment Packs for 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown.
