San Antonio Animal Care Services is seeking pet food donations to help pet owners during the holiday season

San Antonio Animal Care Services announced Nov. 10 that it is joining local nonprofit Daisy Cares in hosting a pet food drive that will help both organizations support pet parents in need by filling their pantry during the holiday season.

According to a press release, bags of dog and puppy food are especially needed in addition to other new or lightly used pet supplies.

All donations will be split between the Daisy Cares Food Pantry and the SAACS Community Animal Support and Assistance program, which uses a case management approach to help pet parents in need with food, humane care support and veterinary resources.

The release says San Antonio-area residents can bring pet food donations through the end of November to Animal Care Services during regular business hours at 4710 Hwy. 151 and is open on weekdays from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends, except public holidays. All donations are tax deductible.
