Riot Games is hosting a 10-week multi-game event centered around Star Guardians
Riot Games is leveraging its mega-popular IP to hold a 10-week event across three of its titles featuring its tribute to the in-universe magicl girl anime, Guardian of the stars. The event will feature a host of new skins, storytelling experience, and the release of a new copyright-free album for streamers.
The event kicks off on July 14 and runs for ten weeks, with 12 new Star Guardian-themed skins released in League of Legends, as well as a narrative event that takes place as you play. In addition, League will see the release of a new champion, Nilah the Joy Unbound, as part of the event.
Meanwhile, League of Legends: Savage Riftthe mobile version of the long-running MOBA, also gets in on the action with skins, an event pass, and a narrative all its own (which is different from the PC League narrative). Digital card game Legends of Runeterra will also celebrate the Star Guardians by featuring, you guessed it, skins, new guardians, emotes, and a legendary Star Guardian board.
