Pet of the Week: Chio

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Chio is a 2-year-old tan male Labrador Retriever and has worked with Corpus Christi Animal Care Services since February 2022.

He has been very kind to the CCACS staff and would love to have a forever home with a loving family.

Chio also enjoys going to the yard and playing outside with the staff.

He received all age-appropriate vaccinations and was tested below detectable limits for heartworms. Chio’s skin scraping results were also below limits.

Stop by and visit Chio and other wonderful shelter pets Monday through Saturday 1-4:30 p.m. at Corpus Christi Animal Services at 2626 Holly Rd.

Contact CCACS staff for more information at 361-826-4600 or [email protected]

The “Empty the Shelters” national summer event will be held at more than 250 shelters in 42 states, including Corpus Christi Animal Care Services, July 11-31, 2022.

As shelters across our nation face unprecedented overcrowding, the BISSELL Pet Foundation is doing its part to bring homeless pets from kennels to couches by sponsoring reduced adoption fees during this three-week event.
