New Warzone map, in-game event release date revealed

The popular battle royale game Call Of Duty: War Zone looks to bring players its biggest in-game event yet that just might end Verdansk once and for all. A new card has been in high demand lately, and it looks like avid gamers will have their wishes granted later this month, as the official said. Call of Duty Twitter account posted a teaser This confirms that something sinister is happening in the game on April 21 at 12:00 p.m. PT / 3:00 p.m. ET.

A specific time ensures that players are logging into the game at the same time, implying that an in-game event is in the cards. Additionally, popular content creator MerK posted an image on Twitter revealing that he received exclusive merchandise that strongly teases that the dam landing location will be an important aspect of the upcoming event. It is assumed that due to the fact that the zombies are an important part of this season, they will try to take control of Verdansk as a whole and force a nuclear weapon to be sent to the region, wiping out the map and ushering in a new era for War zone.

A nuclear weapon has been heavily teased throughout every season of War zone, but it is finally forming a little over a year after the Battle Royale experience first released in 2020. A recently disclosed trailer indicated that the upcoming event was a way to change the landscape of the game, introducing a new map that finds an underdeveloped Verdansk in the 80s. The change in schedule coincides with the release of Black Ops Cold War at the end of last year, who has since fled into War zonethe story of the past two seasons.

The new map will contain many places that fans know and love; however, they will look different to match the Cold War setting. A landing point like Dam was not yet built at this time, but the location is still under construction and no longer blocks water. The same idea goes for the rest of the locations. While all new locations are present, players can still expect some familiarity when Verdansk changes for good later this month.
