The Braemar Gathering always takes place on the first Saturday in September at the Princess Royal and Duke of Fife Memorial Park in Braemar.

The event, which sees competitors testing their strength, dexterity and endurance in many sports, dates back over 900 years to the time of King Malcolm Canmore and has been run in its current form since 1832.
