Fans can tie the knot at Chiefs pre-game event in Florida
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Pastor Nancy Kerr is seeking 15 Kansas City Chiefs fan couples to tie the knot on the eve of Super Bowl LV in Florida.
Kerr runs KC Weddings 2 GB in Independence, Missouri, which has been hosting mobile weddings since 1991.
This Saturday, Kerr will set up his mobile wedding van at the Arrowhead South Chiefs fan club VIP Run it Back 2 Back BBQ Tour Charity Event taking place at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, Florida.
At the event, she will marry 15 couples of chefs for free. She will also renew the vows of the married couples present. Participants will need to pay for the $ 100 ticket to participate in the charity event. Admission includes food and drinks.
Kerr said a marriage needs excitement, and there’s not much more excitement for Chiefs fans than having the team in the Super Bowl.
“I think everyone is naturally extremely energetic right now,” she said. “Who doesn’t want to remarry or renew their vows in chef’s clothes? “
Kerr is no stranger to the Super Bowl. Head and Shoulders Shampoo touted it as a “stubborn company” in a Super Bowl advertising in 2019 during Super Bowl LIII.
The pastor picked the number 15 in honor of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He’s currently engaged, but Kerr doesn’t think he’ll be attending the wedding event on Saturday. She presided over the wedding of Royals player Salvador Perez.
“We’re excited, we’re prepared, we’re the realm of chefs all along,” Kerr said.
