End of the first beta test of Overwatch 2

Snow storm announcement the end of Overwatch 2’s first PvP beta period which lasted from April 26 to May 17.

During this first beta period, Overwatch 2 saw some notable changes – for example, Zenyatta received a brand new ability that improves the way players operate support heroes.

The Overwatch team has also made improvements to the game’s user interface in a way that mirrors other competitive games and is looking to create a faster version of Overwatch in its new 5v5 format than the original game.

The previous game featured teams of six players, while the new 5v5 format will feature one tank, two supports, and two DPS players per team.

“The Overwatch team would like to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to all of the players who participated in our first beta,” game director Aaron Keller said in a post. blog post.

“It can be scary to put on something that isn’t finished and ask people for real, valid reviews, but the reason we’re doing this is important – to make a better game.”

“Testing like this is an essential part of Overwatch’s improvement process, and we look forward to applying what we’ve learned from the beta to the game,” Keller added.

There is no information on when the game’s next beta period will begin or if it will be invite-only or open.

Blizzard said it will share details of its plans for the game and how to access the upcoming beta period at its upcoming Overwatch 2 event on June 16.

There’s still no confirmed release date for Overwatch 2, but it’s still expected to launch in 2023.

New Overwatch Event

Blizzard also announced Overwatch’s Anniversary Remix Vol. 2 in-game event yesterday.

The event will offer players the chance to unlock new variants of select legendary skins as well as event rewards for completing and winning matches.

The event will run from May 17 to June 7, 2022.

All new event skins and returning legendary skins will carry over to Overwatch 2, making the anniversary remix event a worthwhile undertaking for fans.
