Many events have been launched since the release of Genshin Impact. These events allow you to get special items and free primogems to use for character draws. As with any game, however, some events were well received by the player base than others. Some were massive, while others were small and compact. Some are festivals in their own right, while others will end in a week.

With many more events planned for the future, we can’t help but speculate on what Mihoyo will try next. Below are all of the in-game events that have occurred so far, ranked by how well they were received by the community.

While it’s hot
While it’s Warm was an event dedicated to delivering food throughout Teyvat. You could deliver up to three meals a day, but they came with specific deadlines and requirements. Some dishes prohibited the player from swimming, while others did not let them sprint, making this event a boring way to earn rewards.
13
Gliding challenge
The Glide Challenge was one of the first events, and it relied heavily on the in-game glide controls. The event was a bit tricky to go through as you had to go through rings that didn’t always line up well.
12
Vishaps and where to find them
It was an easy way to get primogems but especially for those who already had a lot of adventurers. Indeed, to take full advantage of the mechanics, you needed about a dozen characters or a few friends who could help you.
Each day, you can send three teams of four on an expedition and even choose a friend’s character to increase the success percentage. This made the event quite difficult for free-to-play players or beginners.
11
Ley line overflow
Ley Line Overflow was a great event for players who needed to get leveling books. Blossoms of Wealth and Revelation gave double the normal reward during the event period. However, there were no other real benefits.
ten
Wonderful merchandise
Marvelous Merchandise is a commonly recurring event that allows players to exchange everyday items like apples and carrots for a mystery box containing things like primogems and experience books.
The merchant’s location is marked on the map, and speaking with him will reveal which items he is ready to trade for.
9
Elemental crucible
The Elemental Crucible was the first multiplayer event and was a great introduction to what future updates would have to offer. In the event, you collected Elemental Clots, then ran with them to the Crucible, putting them in until it was full.
You would receive the clots by fighting monsters and causing huge damage.
8
Hypostatic symphony
The Hypostasis Symphony consisted of challenges revolving around the Hypostasis elemental bosses found in the game. You could increase the difficulty by activating certain rules and earn more points in return. The Final Symphony even pitted you against each Hypostasis in a single turn.
7
Five lucky puffs
Five Flushes of Fortune was an event where you were given a special camera and asked to photograph certain objects and enemies of a specific color. This would reward you with full color photos, and when you had one of each color, you could redeem them for rewards.
6
Lost wealth
Lost Riches was a huge deal as it was the first time a pet was introduced to the game. The event gave you a Seelie that flashes when you approach a treasure. By going to all the treasures and finding all the iron pieces, you can choose your own Seelie pet.
5
Wish drops
Wishful Drops was a two-part event; part of it helped you help a little oceanid named Endora. The other one had you fight a special version of the hydraulic boss Rhodeia for higher level gear.
In parts of Endora, the player would aim for bubbles to catch rogue hydroelectric creatures around Liyue. If you helped Endora enough, you could keep him as a pet.
4
Wind blume festival
The Windblume Festival was a huge deal for Mondstadt and consisted of tons of mini-games and a special area called Peculiar Wonderland. Players could earn tons of primogems by completing the main quest and taking on NPC quests throughout the festival.
There was a drop mini-game, a ball-pop mini-game, and even a rhythm game for players to try out, along with several other mini-games in the area.
3
Unreconciled stars
Unreconciled Stars had you researching chunks of stars, discovering the fake sky, and presenting Scaramouche. The event was divided into several parts and the citizens of Teyvat fell into a deep sleep after approaching pieces of fallen meteorites.
In the final event, a giant piece falls to the ground and you can team up to fight a horde of monsters.
2
The chalk prince and the dragon
The Chalk Prince & The Dragon launched alongside Dragonspine in Updates 1.2. The event focused on Albedo, who had found a Cursed Sword and wanted the Traveler to help him awaken his true power. It involved a lot of fighting and ultimately a powerful boss Regisvin.
1
Lantern Rite Festival
The Rite of the Lantern was a huge Liyue festival that included a tower defense minigame, tons of little primo-gem quests, and spotlighted Xiao. Players requested that the tower defense game be added to the full-time game since the event, and Liyue looked gorgeous covered in lanterns.
